Important transfer of expertise to Nepal
Under the auspices of the Prime Minister of Nepal, 100 graduates of the International School of Tourism and Hotel Management in Kathmandu recently received their diplomas from Salzburg University of Applied Sciences management representative Doris Walter together with the head of the FHS tourism degree program, Leo Wörndl.
“Well-educated experts raise the quality standards in tourism and thereby aid in the war against poverty – which is why we consider this transfer of knowledge to be an important educational task that our university wants to address,” says executive manager Doris Walter.
The partnership with the International School of Tourism in Nepal has existed for 6 years. In cooperation with the degree program Innovation & Management in Tourism, the curriculum was adjusted to meet international standards. “In such a manner, the institute could significantly increase its appeal on the local educational market and more than double the number of applicants to the program,” reports head of the FH course of studies Leo Wörndl.
For the first time in November, a cooperative research publication appeared -"The Gaze" – devoted to current research projects.
